Let it snow

Well we are currently trapped in our house for the next few days until things hopefully thaw out. Last night east cobb got hit hard with lots of big fat snow falling fast. I had to go into work last night at 630 and when I put the kids to bed at 930 it looked bone dry out. When I peaked out the window at 10 I almost flipped to see blizzard and a blanket of white covering the ground and roads.

I was able to hop in my car but had a very slow, scary, dangerous, anxiety ridden trip home (only a few miles and pretty straight shot). Once I got to the intersection right before our house I unfortunately had to stop because there were cars in front of me at the light. Once it turned green the slight hill and turn I had to make became impossible. My tires were just spinning and spinning, I was sliding in the direction of cars, businesses, curbs, etc. After they all moved and a mini panic attack later I was somehow able to get moving and make it home a few tears later... lol Ive cant ever remember seeing snow falling so fast with so much wind and such big flakes. Weather reports estimated that it was falling at 3-4" per  hour. Which was about right when Dutch, Dallas, Taylor and I went for a walk after I made it home. I made a snow angel and did some skiing reenactments from my time in Boone.

We woke up to about 6"? trying not to exaggerate lol time for lots of photography, more walks, sleeping in, naps, soup and grilled cheese and zombie killing.

Here are some pics from the big storm!
